Some people just seem to have a knack for it.
I am always amazed (and envious) when I hear about the deals and savings (and even money made!) some of my friends have come up with when using coupons.
I, on the other hand, have never really gotten the hang of it. I see the ads, sometimes, and occasionally I come across a "it's-really-worth-it" coupon. But most of the time I don't have the coupons (or know where people find them), and I hardly see the weekly ads since I am no longer in school and don't get a Scroll (did they change that too?) anymore. I guess Mr. B does work at the grocery store so I could ask him to bring me one of the weekly circulars, but I just don't think of it...
This week I was on campus though, so I picked up a Scroll and was excited to find some great sales in the local grocery ads on items I've been eying.
...Like Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. I have a few recipes I can use these for, one of which, the Veggie Pizza, I've been craving since I had it at home in November. But I just can't get myself to pay the full price for them.
This week, though, I am lucky! These rolls are already on sale at Alberton's for $1.99 (normally $2.79), and with the $1.00 off (for 2) coupon I found at Pillsbury.com, I will get these yummies for just $0.99 a tube! That's a $3 savings! I am really excited about this!
And I think after coming across this deal, I am going to look for more and see if I can't incorporate this money-saving habit into my life a little more! There's just something really rewarding about getting items you need/want all while knowing you're being frugal and saving money!
